Climate Impacts

A wide range of shifting climate impacts have already been observed.  While these impacts can be seen as interconnected, to support land trust efforts to understand and address these changes in the context of conservation concerns, we have categorized these changes as:

• Changing temperatures, including air and water temperatures;
• Changing water regimes, including shifts in rain/snow events, surface and groundwater levels, and flooding;
• Changing ocean systems, including sea level rise, acidification, coral bleaching, and strengthening storms; and
• Impacts to species and habitats.
