Communications

Land trusts are already leading the way in terms of implementing projects that protect and restore land – resulting in improved carbon sequestration – as well as projects that reduce fossil fuel dependence such as renewable energy deployment. Others are engaging in advocacy at multiple levels to encourage law and policy changes that further climate responsive actions. Together, these efforts inspire positive change in resource management. Targeted communication can help to effectively deliver messages and promote positive resource management outcomes. To assist these efforts the Land Trust Alliance has worked with partners to develop Recommendations for Land Trusts Communicating about Climate Change.  You can learn more about what other land trusts are doing to engage with action and engage with advocacy, or share your story about what you are doing to support climate action here.
