The Conservation Biology Institute (CBI) provides scientific expertise to support the conservation and recovery of biological diversity in its natural state through applied research, education, planning, and community service. CBI and Data Basin are hosting the following webinars in February and March 2017 that may be of interest to the land trust community:

Navigating the Data Basin Platform

This webinar is an introductory tour to demonstrate multiple ways to explore and create content in Data Basin. Data Basin is an online mapping and analysis platform that supports learning, research, and sustainable environmental stewardship. The tour will include examples of keyword & geographic search functions, mapping, and collaborative tools.

SCGIS Webinar: Do-It-Yourself Data Tinkering: Adapting Spatial Data for Local Use
Presenter: Kori Blankenship, The Nature Conservancy

The webinar will include discuss how story maps can be used, the types that exist, and how they connect to the web GIS platform. Ways of creating and sharing story maps will be also be demonstrated.
